I think that, in the past few weeks, I have been so stressed that all of my creativity has slowly crept out of my body until I am now completely at a loss as to what to write. You see, usually I just sit down and type and it seems that my personality just flows onto the screen. Now, when I sit down to type, my fingers protest in a weird sort of rigid way and my brain says "NO...STOP, YOU ARE TORTURING ME!"
When I first sat down I tried to make up some lame, yet somewhat interesting, story or something but my brain and fingers would not connect thus here is all that you get! In the next few weeks things will calm down and I will return to my normal way of writing. As for now, I am sorry if you are reading this!

Ahhh
Wow...things have been crazy in my life the last few days!!! I have had a lot of struggles lately and God is teaching me about trusting in Him instead of in myself. But I tell you....Satan is THE evil one and he can definitely throw some punches...or little taps continuously which is just as bad! God gave me a cool passage the other night and if you are struggling with being attacked it is very encouraging! The passage is in the first part of the first chapter in James! Check it out...it's good stuff!!!

My Favorite Part of My Face

This is for all of you who are terrified to see my face because you think that nose rings are sooo gross. This way you will be prepared when you see me face to face! Morgan took this picture while Summer was driving Mom's truck! Morgan, Summer and I had so much fun while they were here...I can't wait until they come back (hint hint)...haha!!!
Pigs Can Fly!
The unthinkable, unimaginable, impossible, not likely in the slightest way has happened!!! I made a 92 on my last chem test. Yeah I know...I didn't think it was possible either. I am officially sitting with a decent B and looking to hold it through the end of this phase of torment in my life.
I spent the entire class period tonight picking off the chunks of skin that are now loosely attached to my face. Yeah... the sun burn! You might ask" what were you thinking?!?" But I would answer "its not everyday that you meet an intellectual individual that actually enjoys talking about current affairs." That's why I was at the pool so long. I met this woman who was really cool and she, mom and I talked for an extra 1 1/2 hours after we would have left!
Anyway, I am paying for it and the fresh meat that is under the dried junks is, well, slightly tender. Right now I look like Rudolph because the only thing that has peeled is my nose and the flesh underneath was not meant to see the environment for a few more months when my surface cells had slowly fallen off.
It's like having a baby too early...it might not want to face the elements so soon. It is a cold burning feeling that permeates my nose. Thankfully the skin underneath is still dark (just means that I burned really deep) so I won't look like an idiot in a few days with white patches all over my face.

Ouch
So I am burned to a crisp!!! It actually doesn't hurt at all so I am hoping that it will just turn brown and not start to come off in nasty brown chunks of skin! Really just my face is bright red...the rest of my body isn't so bad.
I was talking to a good friend of mine last night and I realized that finals are 2 WEEKS AWAY!!! How could I have missed that? Now I am terrified! I am going to try to pull a B in both of my classes and for those of you who know me really well...I am not usually shooting for B's. Wow, I guess this is what a community college does to you....brings down your GPA...quite strange!
I also have to teach dance, Spanish and Music classes for the next few weeks until the real teachers can take over. I don't dance, I can't speak Spanish and I can't read music or play a musical instrument. This should be fun!

Life
Things are pretty boring around here lately! I am working for Champion Services watching Em again which I am soo excited about. Other than that I am just trying to get through this semester without failing...haha (but really!) I miss my sisters terribly (I love you both) and I want to see my nieces and nephew. Wow... all I am doing is complaining so I am going to stop writing now. Things really are not bad at all...just slow!

Climbing
Doug
Jimmy
David
Summer
Morgan
I am sure that most of you have seen these pictures but there are a few that people that dont read everyones blogs so this is for y'all. We went to the Summit to climb indoors on Monday. We had such a blast and we video taped a lot of the climbing. The picture where Jimmy is hanging took him a few tries but he jumped from a straight wall to an inverted wall and grabbed onto a hold. I was belaying Morgan when she climbed in the picture and she accidently let go and when she dropped off the wall she swung out because it was an inverted wall and guess who she slammed into? Yours Truly!!! We all had such a great time and I hope that atleast Jimmy and I will do it again!
Tearing of flesh
Yesterday morning we were going to go help Jon unload the moving van. I was running around waking everyone up and telling them that we were going to leave in ten minutes when I ripped my nose ring out. I know...you are thinking "how in the world did she do that?" Well, I was putting on my sweatshirt when I reached up to pull the top down over my head. On the way up my hand made a quick stop at my nose just long enough to cause me excruciating pain. For the background information...my nose is very sensitive and was already painful before I performed the operation.
As blood stared gushing everywhere I ran to the bathroom to try to get it back in as quickly as possible so that the hole wouldn’t close up. I know what all of you are thinking...it’s a sign that I am supposed to get rid of the ring...no way because I love it!!! I sat down to start working on my nose when we were supposed to leave. The problem with getting it back in is that it is twisted on the bottom so it won’t come out (go figure) and I couldn’t get it back in. At first I just moved it around inside the tissue in my nose trying to get it to poke through the other side to no avail. Next I decided that a little force was the ticket. At this point I was in so much pain that my lip was quivering. That didn’t work either so I finally decided to just shove it through...I did this relatively careful and it still would not show up on the inside of my nose. I was just digging around in the flesh within my actual nostril.
Extremely frustrated at this point, I put a regular earring in my nose (which was jabbing into my septum) and we left to go help Jon unload the truck. We were an hour late! We dropped of the guys and Summer, Morgan and I then left to go find me a ring that would go in easier because I am told that the one that the tattoo parlor put in is the hardest to do so. We went to 6 stores before we came to a little stand in the mall that was selling these little nose rings for $8.00. I don’t think that I have ever been ripped off so bad in my life. They were very low quality and not very cute! So I bought one and we went to the bathroom at the mall to continue the process of tearing up my nose.
I prayed and then got to work. This time I had decided to just jam it through as hard as I could and just have two holes on the inside of my nose. I couldn’t even push it hard enough to make it through but I don’t think that I have to explain to you how bad this hurt!
Onto the tattoo parlor that by this time (12:00pm) had just opened. He told me that it was going to hurt pretty bad so I braced myself for the worst. After all, I had inflicted so much pain on myself by this time I figured that if it were going to actually go through that it would hurt REALLY badly. He stuck the q-tip to my nose and then said well you have a nose ring again. “Are you joking?” I asked in my nicest voice of complete exasperation and annoyance. But no it was in with one small push and no pain. My annoyance at the fact that I had ripped all of the skin and made myself bleed all morning far over passed my happiness for not having anymore pain. To think that I could have avoided all of that and he would just push it right in…ridiculous. God forbid I ever do that to myself again, but if I do I will not be trying to put it back in myself!!!

This is What Happens When People Come to Texas!!!
You definitely have to be confident in your manliness to be able to do this

David and Morgan sprawled out in the living room
The boys haven't slept in days because of their late night travels. We went to pick up the girls last night at 12:00am and got home at 1:00am. Even though Summer and Morgan had spent 14 hours in an airport in Atlanta we still stayed up and talked until 5:00am this morning. What can I say...we haven't seen each other in a long time! This afternoon, after church, everyone zonked!
